Prove It Act of 2025 Would Reduce the Regulatory Burden on Small Businesses
March 14, 2025
According to Rep. Hageman, “Americans are suffocating under an annual $2.1 trillion regulatory burden, with small businesses shouldering a disproportionate share of the cost.” The Prove It Act of 2025 is a bi-partisan bill that would require regulators to assess the burden of new rules on small businesses before issuing them. It’s a bi-partisan measure that passed the House in 2024; this is a reintroduction of the same measure. The bill is supported by NFIB, SBE Council, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and many others. #IdeaoftheDay
