According to American Express’ 2018 State of Women-Owned Businesses report, 1,821 women-owned businesses were created over the last year. Of this, women of color accounted for 47% of new businesses. There are now 12.3 million women-owned businesses, employing over 9 million people and generating more than $1.8 trillion in revenues.
