Companies that want to raise capital in this way must file Form D at least 15 days before solicitation begins and use an approved intermediary platform (they can’t crowdfund directly from investors). They must amend the form within 30 days of completing their solicitation. The Fundable/SBE Council’s infographic on equity crowdfunding shows other time-sensitive information. Equity crowdfunding is set to begin on September 23.
