Telephone Patented

Alexander Graham Bell patented the telephone 146 years ago today, although Elisha Gray applied for a patent for the telephone on the same day (but after Bell). Like other entrepreneurs, this isn’t all Bell did. He was a founding member of the National Geographic Society (his son-in-law was the first editor of National Geographic Magazine). Bell predicted the use of solar panels and coined the phrase “greenhouse effect.” #IdeaoftheDay
