Qualified Opportunity Zones Unaffected by 2020 Census

That’s what the IRS said. The boundaries of qualified opportunity zones previously announced in 2018 and 2019 by the IRS are not being changed despite any population changes found in the 2020 census. The designations of QOZs were based on census track numbers and census track boundaries created by the 2010 census; the boundaries of QOZs won’t shrink or expand as a result of the 2020 census.  #IdeaoftheDay
