Today is a federal holiday honoring the Presidents. Officially, it’s designated as Washington’s Birthday. Under the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, it is celebrated annually on the third Monday of February even though Washington was born on February 22. In the past the holiday was a time for reflecting on the contributions of these presidents; now it’s primarily a day for retail sales. Most federal offices and banks are closed today. #IdeaoftheDay
