This holiday is a boom to retailers. The National Retail Federation reports that 157 million Americans will celebrate the holiday. Total spending on costumes, treats, festivities, and, pets will reach $6.9 billion. The average spending is $74.34, down from $77.52 last year. An estimated 20 million Americans will dress up their pets.
