New federal rules will require federal contractors (with contracts or subcontracts in excess of $10,000) to: 1) not discriminate on the basis of a person’s disability, and 2) take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment qualified individuals with disabilities. The rules were finalized in September; they generally take effect on March 24, 2014.
