DoL’s AI Guidance for Employers

The U.S. Department of Labor published Artificial Intelligence and Worker Well-Being: Principles and Best Practices for Developers and Employers. Some of the key principles include centering worker empowerment, ethically developing AI, establishing AI governance and human oversight, and using AI to enable workers. The guidance also includes definitions of terms used in principles and best practices, such as “algorithmic discrimination” and “impact assessment.” The principles and best practices are suggestive; they are not mandatory. #IdeaoftheDay
