The IRS and the Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration have jointly released an updated publication on Automatic Enrollment 401(k) Plans for Small Businesses. These plans benefit businesses by reducing certain administrative costs (they eliminate some complicated testing requirements to avoid discrimination) and employees who are encouraged to save for retirement.
