FreshBook’s 2019 Third Annual Self-Employment in America Report found that 96% of those who are self-employed have no desire to return to a regular job and 70% report a better work-life balance. The report also found that 24 million Americans want to work for themselves by 2021. Yet 35% worry about inconsistent income and 28% don’t have the cash or need to pay down debt in order to get started.
